Easy win for Rajshahi Kings

Rajshahi Kings posted an easy 30-run win over Comilla Victorinas in their match of the AKS Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Twenty20 Cricket at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Saturday.
Electing to bat first, Rajshahi Kings piled up a mammoth total of 185 for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs and then they bowled out Comolla Victorians for 155 off 19.1 overs.
Rajshahi made a good start as Dwayne Smith and Mominul Haque, the openers put on together 43 runs before Smith (19) was bowled out by Mohammad Saifuddin when Rajshahi’s score was 43.
Then Mominul Haque (23) was run out by Alok Kapali when the team’s total was 47 for the loss of two wickets.
Later, Luke Wright and James Franklin built a notable partnership. They put on together 37 runs in the five wicket stand before Franklin (14) was trapped leg before wicket by Hasan Ali when Rajshahi’s score was 123 for the loss of five wickets.
Darren Sammy and Mohammad Sami added a worthy 44 in the unbroken eighth wicket stand before Rajshahi’s innings came to an end.
Sammy remained unbeaten with 47. His 14-stormy innings was ornamented with six sixes and a four.
Luke Wright hit a fine 42. His 36-ball knock was belted with four fours.
Mohammad Saifuddin of Comilla Victorians got three wickets conceding 50 runs, while Hasan Ali bagged a pair of wickets at the cost of 38 runs and Al-Amin Hossain took one wicket for 32 runs.
Comilla Victorians had a poor start as they lost two wickets for just four runs. Then opener Tamim Iqbal and Shoaib Malik contributed 87 runs for the third wicket partnership before Shoaib Malik was caught & bowled by Dwayne Smith when Comilla’s score was 91 for the loss of three wickets.
Then Tamim Iqbal and Jos Buttler added together 34 runs in the fourth wicket stand before Tamim Iqbal was caught at the cover by Smith off Mohammad Sami when Comilla’s total was 125 for the loss of five wickets.
Tamim hit a captain’s knock of 63. His 45-ball innings was laced with three sixes and four fours. It was Tamim’s 28th T20 half century.
Shoaib Malik made 45 from 26 balls featuring five fours and two sixes.
After Tamim’s dismissal, batsmen of Comilla failed to make any remarkable partnership.
Mohammad Sami of Rajshahi grabbed four wickets at the cost of nine runs, while Dwayne Smith and Mustafizur Rahman bagged a couple of wickets each instead of 27 and 32 runs respectively.
Besides, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and James Franklin took one wicket each for 26 and 31 runs respectively.
Darren Sammy of Rajshahi Kings was adjudged the Man of the Match.
