DWASA signs contract to rehabilitate 376km water pipelines

Dhaka Water Supply & Sewerage Authority (DWASA) has signed a contract with two contractors on Tuesday at DWASA Board Room for rehabilitating 376 kilometers water pipelines of the areas under MODS Zone-6 by three years starting from April 2015.
The two contractors are RFL Plastic Ltd and China Railway First Group (CRFG) Ltd. These firms will rehabilitate a total of 376 kilometers water pipelines of Fakirapool, Malibagh, Moghbazar, Mouchak, Rampura and adjacent areas under MODS Zone-6 to ensure best possible quality of supplied water.
Dhaka WASA Managing Director Engr Taqsem A Khan, Deputy Managing Director (Admin) Md Ataur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director (Operations & Maintenance) SDM Quamrul Alam Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director (Research, Planning & Development) Md Serajuddin and Deputy Managing Director (Finance) Syed Golam Ahammad and RFL Managing Director Ahsan Khan Chowdhury and CRFG’s Bangladesh Director Liu Yadong were present at the contract signing ceremony.  
Earlier DWASA appointed a Korean Consultant Firm Kunhwa Engineering & Consulting Company Ltd. on Sunday, 29 March 2015 in this regard.
