The Dhaka WASA authorities hoped that the city dwellers will not face any water crisis as the supply capacity is adequate compared to the daily demand.

Mentioning various initiatives taken by WASA, Taqsem Khan said 46 water carrying vehicles and 19 tractors have been kept standby so that water could be supplied instantly on demand by the city dwellers during Ramzan.
He said measures have already been taken to supply water especially in
different public places in the capital during the times of Iftar and Sehri through water tank and trolleys.
The Dhaka WASA MD said special arrangement has also been made to ensure uninterrupted water supply in the mosques during Ramzan and if necessary, water will be supplied through water carrying vehicles instantly.
He said that some 405 generators will run as backup for lifting water by deep-tubewell in case electricity goes off.
Besides, he added, ‘double line connection’ of electricity have been given to 215 water pumps to run those continuously during load shedding, while such dual connection will also be given shortly to the remaining water pumps.
