Remembering the martyrs, who died on the night of 25 March in 1971, Dhaka University (DU) Jagannath Hall will organize various programme today on the Hall premises.
Jagannath Hall Provost Professor Asim Sarkar on Thursday told the journalist in a press briefing. Santos Kumar Dev, Convener of 25 March dark night remembrance ceremony committee, read out the press release. Mukul Kumar Ghosh, former Acting General Secretary of Awami League, and Panna Lal Dutta, ex-student of Jagannath Hall, were also present at the press conference.
At 10:00 am, the function will be started with drawing contest. The other programmes include remembering martyrs Installation Art at 6:00 pm, , Drama: Kalratri at 7:00 pm, Patriotic song and reciting at 8:00 pm, Torch lighting at 11:00 pm and candle lighting and offering tributes at mass grave at 11:59 pm.
DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique will be present at the function as the chief guest. DU Pro-VC (Education) Professor Nasrin Ahmed, Pro-VC (Administration) Professor Shahid Akter Hussain and Treasurer Professor Md. Kamal Uddin will be present as special guests.
