Dry weather likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted that weather would remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, having chances of light rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at one or two places over Dhaka, Rangpur, Rajshahi and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met Office bulletin issued here.
Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the regions of Tangail, Faridpur, Gopalgonj, Sylhet, Rajshahi and Pabna, and it may continue.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded 39.2 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, while Saturday’s minimum temperature was 18.6 degree Celsius in Tetulia of Panchagarh district.
