Dry weather likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted that the ongoing mild heat wave might continue and spread while weather would remain mainly dry over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Mild heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka and Khulna divisions and the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Rangamati and Sylhet and it may spread,” said a met office bulletin issued here on Tuesday morning.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country having chances of rain or thundershowers at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions and the regions of Cumilla and Noakhali.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.
The highest temperature on Monday was recorded 38.2 degrees Celsius in Faridpur under Dhaka Division, while Tuesday’s minimum temperature was 17.8 degrees Celsius in Tetulia of Panchagarh.
