Dry weather likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Tuesday predicted that weather may remain dry in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am yesterday.
“Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to today’s afternoon,” said a Met office bulletin issued here. Mild cold wave is sweeping over Rajshahi & Rangpur divisions and the regions of Jashore & Kushtia and it may continue, added the bulletin. However, Night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said. As an extended outlook for the next 72 hours, the bulletin predicted that the night and day temperature may rise.
The highest temperature on Monday was recorded 26.6 degree Celsius in Teknaf under Cox’s Bazar district, while Tuesday’s minimum temperature is 07.2 degree Celsius at Tetulia under Rangpur district.
