Dr Mostafizur Rahman joined as the Head and Associate Professor of the Department of Library Management and Information Science of the Royal University of Dhaka (RUD). He taught in the Department of Information Science and Library Management at University of Dhaka and North Eastern Hill University, India and worked in various government and non-government institutions.
Dr Rahman did his PhD in Information Science and Library Management in 1999 under the scholarship of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). He published 15 research articles in reputed journals and proceedings in home and abroad. Dr Rahman is the Chairman of the Bangladesh Association of Librarians, Information Scientists and Documentalists (BALID) and Member of the Advisory Board of Asian Library Association, New Delhi.
