Dr Md. Rafiqul Islam Sheikh, a professor of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department, has been appointed the new Vic-Chancellor (VC) of Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET).
A press release issued by the Public Relations Office of RUET on Monday said the appointment was given through a notification signed by the Deputy Secretary (stipend) of the Education Ministry.
The notification also said that President Md Abdul Hamid appointed Prof Rafiqul Islam Sheikh as new VC of RUET.
The new VC took charge from the registrar. It is mentioned that RUET gets new vice-chancellor 2 months later following the former VC Prof. Md. Rafiqul Islam Beg completed his tenure on May 28.
