Our correspondent, Ishwardi :
A press conference was held in Ishwardi on Wednesday protesting the ‘false’ news spread in several newspapers and online news portals.
Dolan Biswas, owner of Tiha Biswas & Co. and son of MP Nuruzzaman Biswas, held the press conference at a local party center. In a written statement at the conference, Dolan Biswas raised the allegation of stealing iron along with garbage for a long time by Sohail Rana, managing director of Bangla Power Service, a subsidiary of the Rooppur nuclear project,
Dolan Biswas sought probe over the smuggling and demanded punishment.
Juba League-Chhatra League leaders including Ishwardi Municipal Awami League president Abul Kalam Azad Mintu, general secretary Ishaq Ali Malitha and Krishka League leader Murad Ali Malitha were present at the conference.
Dolan Biswas further said false news spread against me to humiliate my family socially and politically.
He claimed that there was no case against me including terrorism, extortion and theft and no one could prove any such incident. He demanded a proper investigation from the concerned authorities and said that the real mystery would come out only after a proper investigation into how many times Sohail Rana has been detained by the security forces since he took over the responsibility of cleaning.
