DMP says copy of arrest warrant yet to reach PS

Police said that the copies of arrest warrant against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia have not reached at the Police Stations till Thursday.

Islam made the disclosure through a press briefing held at the media centre of DMP yesterday noon.
Monirul Islam said, “Steps in this regard will be taken according to the court order after the copy of the arrest warrant being reached at the Police Station.”
Earlier on Wednesday, a Dhaka court issued an arrest warrant against the BNP chief and two others in Zia Charitable Trust and Zia Orphanage Trust graft cases.
Cancelling the bail of Khaleda, the court of Judge Md Abu Ahmed Jomadar of the Special Judge Court-3, set up at Alia Madrasa ground, passed the order.
It was leant that the copies of Khaleda`s arrest warrant had reached at Gulshan, Ramna and Cantonment Police Stations.
