A fake eye specialist was awarded six months imprisonment and fine for Taka 10 thousand on Monday noon by a mobile court in Jhenaidah. The arrested was identified as Majharul Islam, son of Jahurul Islam of Khalishpur Bazer of Moheshpur upazila in Jhenaidah.
The court sources said, acting on a tip off, a mobile court led by an executive magistrate of Jhenaidah deputy commissioner’s office Mesbaul Karim conducted a drive. He found the arrested involved in cheating people at Dipshikha Anirban Eye clinic at Gorsthanpara in the municipal town on Monday noon.
He was arrested and the court awarded six months imprisonment and fined for Taka 10 thousand as per the act of The medical and dental council act of 2010.
Dr. Prosenjit Partha, Medical officer of the office of the civil surgeon in Jhenaidah remain present during the drive, the sources said.
