DIU introduces guardian insurance policy

Daffodil International University in association with Pragati Life Insurance has introduced an insurance policy titled ‘Guardian’s Insurance Policy’ for the students who have unfortunately lost their guardians.
According to that policy, sudden death of a guardian wouldn’t interrupt academic life of a student in Daffodil International University, an official handout said.
as per the policy, if any guardian dies just after admitting her son/ daughter in Daffodil Internatioal University, the university authority would bear his/ her rest of the cost to continue his/ her academic life and in this regard Daffodil International University, the press release said.
In the first phase of this policy, the first cheque was handed over to the DIU authority on Monday at 71 Milonayotion of the university.
Md Jalalul Azim, Managing Director of Pragati Life Insurance, Md Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees of DIU, Prof Dr Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, VC of DIU, among others, were present.
It may be mentioned here that the claimed money of the insurance will be added with the tuition fees of those students.
MD of Pragati Life Insurance Jalalul Azim said that each and everyone life we have a word ‘if’ and if means uncertainty. None of us have no idea that when this uncertainty would come in our life. Insurance can help us to face this uncertainty.
That’s why Daffodil International University recently introduce guardian’s insurance policy with Pragati Life Insurance, Azim said.
DIU Board of Trustees Chairman Dr Md Sabur Khan said that when a student losses his parent or guardian, he falls in a danger situation and that’s why Daffodil International University has taken the initiative to stand beside them during that falls position and Guardian’s Insurance Policy will help them to continue their education life.
