The Minister Also said, Out of 49 years of our independence, Bangladesh Awami League ruled the country only for 19 years and BNP Jamat, Autocratic Ershad and other anti liberation forces ruled the country for rest of the time. As a result, these evil forces didn’t drive the country with the spirit of Freedom or War of liberation and they tried to make Bangladesh a Mini Pakistan. So, we had to lag behind a long. Present Awami League government lead by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working with the spirit of Liberation war and the country advanced a lot under her dynamic leadership which is recognized worldwide, he added. He urged the students not to limit the spirit of Liberation war only in the text books but also hold it by heart and become determined to act accordingly to full fill the dream of building a non-communal Golden Bengal by the father of the nation Bangabandhu Shekh Majibur Rahman.
