The 2nd World Islamic Countries University Leaders Summit (WICULS) 2016 was started in Malaysia on 14th November 2016 at Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT), Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The Summit was jointly organized by Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), and Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT), Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. Daffodil International University (DIU), Dhaka joined the Summit as an international partner. A 9-member delegate led by Prof Dr Yousuf M Islam, Vice-Chancellor, DIU joined the summit representing DIU.
A total of 50 research papers were presented in the summit out of which DIU participants presented 8 papers in the areas of Guided Leadership and Academic Ethics, Intellectualism in Higher Education, Humanizing the University, Self-leadership, Identity and Human Governance, Wisdom and Leadership, and Funding Education Institutions.
About 70 university leaders, academicians and presenters from different corners of the globe namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Bosnia, Turkey, Netherlands, and Australia attended the Summit.
