Digital edn system launched in school

Digital Education System has been introduced at a tri-lingual Junior Secondary High School at Mirpur in Dhaka on Sunday.
Country’s renowned IT expert and inventor of Bijoy Bangla Software Mustafa Jabbar formally inaugurated the programme on the school campus.
“The students of class-I to III will be able to enjoy the benefit of digital education system coping with modern technology,” Mostafa Jabbar said.
He said the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken various pragmatic steps to build up a “Digital Bangladesh” and it is for modernizing the existing education system to build skilled manpower with international standards.
Jabbar mentioned that government in the meantime set up about 23,500 educational institutions including both primary and secondary schools across the country.
He hoped that if the modern education system can be properly utilized in all educational institutions, the new generation would be able to lead the country with outstanding performance.
Earlier, a discussion on “Digitization in Bangladesh” was held with Principal Alamgir Hossain Helal in the chair. Among others Chief Executive Officer of Bijoy Digital and presenter of Bangladesh Television Jasmin Jui, Principal of Mirpur English Version School and College Yahia Khan Rijon, Senior Reporter of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Md Sahidul Islam Rana, adviser of the school Md Shahjahan Munsi, Joinul Abedin of Prime International School, Mainul Islam of Renesa Pre-cadet School and Headmaster of Modhu Bepari High School Meer Abdul Malek also spoke on the occasion.
An exhibition on ‘Digital Education System’ was also screened on the occasion.
