English Department of Dhaka University (DU) organised a daylong seminar entitled ‘Developing Student Writing’ for the students of the department at RC Majumder auditorium of the university on Thursday.
DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr Nasreen Ahmad attended the programme as the chief guest. Chairperson of English Department Prof Tahmina Ahmed presided over the function while Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof Dr Sadrul Amin was present as special guest.
Prof Nasreen stressed on improving writing skills of the students and advised them to enhance their academic excellence. She said traditional wisdom should be coordinated with modern knowledge to uplift socio-economic development of the country.
