Khulna Correspondent :The sudden embank collapse on Thursday evening on the river ‘Bhadra’ at No 29 polder of Chandgar area in Dumuria Upazila under the district has affected at least 2000 houses.Over 5000 families have marooned and hundreds of acres of paddy field and around 300 shrimp enclosures washed away, said local public representatives.Several families have taken shelter in other villages as their houses went under water.
