Forest guards of Sharankhola Forest Range under The Eastern Division of Sundarbans (in Bagerhat district) recovered and seized two skins of hunt-banned spotted deer of Sundarbns from a house in the village Sonatala under Sharankhola Upazila in Bagerhat district on Friday afternoon. But in this connection nobody was arrested till the writing of this report.
Asaduzzaman, Officer of Sharankhola Forest Range within The Eastern Division of Sundarbans told the newsmen, acting on secret information a contingent of the forest guards of the range raided the village Shonatala on Friday afternoon (at 3-30 pm) and after searching the house of one Suman Munshi they recovered 2 pieces of hunt-banned spotted deer (of Sundarbans) and seized the same. But sensing the appearance of the forest guards Suman Munshi fled away. The seized skins were taken to station office of Sharankhola. The officer added, a case was lodged with the local PS under Forest Act in connection of the matter.
