Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind at many places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
Besides, Day and night temperature may fall by (1-3) degrees C over the country, the bulletin added.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions at many places over Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over southern part of the country in 24-hour till 9am today,” said a Met Office bulletin issued on Saturday morning.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am yesterday was recorded 92 mm at Teknaf .
Country’s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 36.7 degrees Celsius in Sylhet and minimum temperature on Saturday was 24.1 degrees Celsius at Teknaf .
