A three-day long 5th International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Renewable Engery -2019 begins at CUET campus as arranged by the Chattogram University of Engineering & Technology from yesterday .
The conference was inaugurated at Council Hall by the member of University Grants Commission Prof. Dr. Muham mad Alamgir as chief guest. Vice chancellor of CUET Prof. Dr. Rafiqul Alam was the special guest in it and the additional Managing Director of GPH Ishat Ltd Md. Alamas Shimul was also present as honourable invited guest. The chief guest in his deliberations said the prime aims of education-research should be the welfare of the human folk and the role of engineers are most essential to sustain the aims of education and research. He said the demand of mechanical engineering is gradually increasing which was not visible 10 years before because of our country is advancing towards industrial revolution from the agri levels. He also emphasized the renewable engery for quick industrial development and we should search these renewable energy from roots levels. The Special guest Prof. Dr. Rafiqul Alam said the whole world is facing disasterous situations of climate change and Bangladesh is also victim of these climate change. The honourable guest Md. Almas Shimul also spoke in the inaugural session of the conference. Confernece chairman and Dean of Mechanical Engineering faculty Prof. Dr. Jamal Uddin Ahmed presided the inaugural session . Conference secretary Prof. Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman delivered address of welcome . This year, delegates from USA, Australia, Japan, china, Canada, South Korea, India, Malaysia attended the conference beside the Bangladesh. About 164 articles are being presenting before the conference of 12 technical sessions.
In first phase , “Solar Thermal Power with Energy Storage – A Pathway to Combat Global Warming” article by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mustafizur Rahman. In second chapter ariticle on “Insights on UAV development for multifaceted industrial applications” by – Dr Balasubramanian Esakki , in 3rd phase “Mechanical Characterization of Biovesicles- A connection between Biology, Engineering and Medicine” by Prof. Dr. Prashanta Dutta were presented in first day. On the other hand papers on “Implementation of Hydrogen Economy in Bangladesh” of Dr.. Md. Abdus Salam , papers on “Global Energy and the Role of Nuclear Power” of Prof. Dr. M. A. Sarkar. Were placed , CUET sources said.
