Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury paid a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Sunday.
During the meeting, the President underscored the need for maintaining congenial academic atmosphere in the university, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told UNB.
The President advised the university authorities to take special steps so that the academic life of the students doesn’t get longer due to session jam.
The VC sought direction from the President, also the chancellor of the university, to discharge his duties with a view to turning the university as an ideal one. Secretaries concerned to the President’s Office were present.
