The third joint district judge court in Chittagong is in hapless position taking 7000 suits out of 72 courts in Ctg judiciary and majistracy , the 3rd court of Joint district judge is gripped with highest numbers of cases.
This 3rd court was set up 21 years ago whereas this court is running with same manpower structure of 21 yrs ago. According to law experts of Chittagong bar, atleast 7 trial judges are required to dispose off 7000 suits of civil and criminal natures consists of 1000 cases for each judges. Whereas only one judged is assigned to this court to lookafter the 7000 cases. Besides, judge of 3rd court is also assigned as Acting Judge ofNezarat Department with additional responsibilities which bitterly hampers the case trials o this 3rd court. Meanwhile new district Judge Md. Nurul Huda after his joining in Ctg judiciary on Jan 18 last has taken steps to dispose off these accumulated cases of 3rd court.
