Members of Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) today seized huge quantity of contraband goods, including phensidyl, worth about Taka 20 lakh from Birampur rail station in Dinajpur, BGB sources said.
The sources said that a special BGB patrol party searched the Dinajpur bound “Drutojan Express” from Dhaka at Birampur rail station under Birampur upazila in Dinajpur district this morning and seized the huge smuggled goods.
The seized goods include huge smuggled phensidyl, cumin, saree, three-pieces, pressure cookers and different sex-stimulating tablets worth about Taka 20 lakh.
However, none was arrested in this connection during the raid.
