One construction labour named Md. Al Amim(25) died of electrocution in the city yesterday. The incident occurred in Kattali area under Akber Shah thana in city yesterday morning.
The victim was identified as Md Al-Amin later.
Doctors at Chittagong Medical College and Hospital declared him dead after he was rushed there around 9am yesterday.
The hospital’s Police Nayek Shilabrata Barua said the incident took place when Al-Amin was working on a wall in the morning.
His colleague Md Mohan said Al-Amin was electrocuted while attempting to move a roof CI sheet, police sources said.
