A court in Chittagong granted police remand again with different terms to 6 detained allegedly involved with the import of cocaine mixed sunflower oil. Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Rahmat Ali granted remand to them yesterday following the prayer of the IO of the case.
Out of the detained , Golam Mustafa Sohel granted with 5 days remand, two days remand each to AK Azad, Atiqur Rahman and Mostafa Kamal and five days remand to Mehedi Alam and Saiful Islam .
Chittagong Metropolitan detective police seized a edible oil laden container in Chittagong port on June 6 last suspe cting the cocaine inside the oil drums.
After final chemical test of the oil, Customs intelligence detected cocaine in one drums on June 27 last.
There was 107 oil drums inside the container, sources said. The edible oil consignment was imported in the name of Khan Jahan Ali group of chittgong .
