Cocaine mixed edible oil, another one drum suspected

Narcotics control Department, Chittagong wing suspecting existence of cocaine in another oil drum that imported through Chittagong Port . Out of the total 107 drums, narcotics officials opined for chemical tests of No.59 drum. City detective police sources said they already received the chemical test report of drum No.96 from NCD where existence of cocaine is traced. But now NCD is suspecting the existence of cocaine in drum No.59 also.
Police sources said according resurvey of the NCD, they opined the existence of cocaine in that particular drum but there is a legal procedures for having permission of the court to reexamining the particular drum. Mentionable that as per directives of the court, IO of the cocaine scandal colleted samples in 321 small container i.e. 3 specimen each from 107 d rums which was sent to Dhaka Armed Forces Foods Lab and Labs of NCD and CID on July 8 last.
On July 20, DB police received the test report where existence of cocaine found in drum No.96 .
Port sources said each drum is filled with 195 kgs sunflower oil . The oil laden container was sealed off by DB police on June 6 last. In the cocaine scandal, 6 persons allegedly involved with the cocaine import so far.
These detained are – Manager of Prime Hatchery Golam Mustafa sohel, Manager of cosco shipping AK Azad, Busines executive of Mondol group Atiqur Rahman, officer of an security firm Mehdi Alam, C&F officer saiful Islam and the real estate trader Mostafa Kamal.
These detained persons were quizzed by DB police with different terms, sources said.
Sources said these edible oil was imported under the importing firm Khan Jahan Ali Limited of Khatungonj, Chittagong, sources said.
