Dhaka Mohanagar CNG Auto-rickshaw Malik Samity Oikya Parishad has called for 72- hour nonstop strike in the city from Tuesday to Thursday to meet their five-point demands.
The samity gave the strike call from a press conference at the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) on Saturday.
The demands include enhancement of the economic lifetime of CNG auto-rickshaws. In the event of failure to meet the demand by this time, a tougher programme will be announced later.
ATM Nazmul Hasan, member-secretary of the Oikya parishad read out the statement in the conference. Convener Barkat Ullah Bhulu was also present there.
