State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki overnight distributed blankets among homeless people at different areas in the city under the auspices of the ministry, an official press release said on Monday.
It said she distributed the blankets at Shaheed Minar area, High Court, Fakirapul and Kamlapur areas of the city on Sunday.
“The state minister distributed more than one hundred blankets among the poor,” the release said.
