Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the Chief Justice apprised the President of various activities of the Supreme Court, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.
He highlighted the shortage of offices and accommodation of the judges across the country and sought the President’s cooperation to solve those problems.
Surendra Kumar Sinha said digitization has been introduced in the judiciary and it has brought more dynamism in the activities of the judiciary. This process will be continued in the future, he added.
The Chief Justice also apprised the President of his recent visits to Russia and Belarus.
Abdul Hamid advised the Chief Justice to take necessary steps to settle pending cases within a shortest possible time.
