The prizes of the three chess Leagues were handed over to the winners in a ceremony at the DBBL Auditorium of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) in the capital on Saturday.
The winners of the Walton Home Appliance Premier Division Chess league 2014 and First Division Chess League-2013 and 2014, organised by Bangladesh Chess Federation, received their prizes in the ceremony.
Bangladesh Navy Chess Team received gold medals as the Walton Home Appliance Premier Division League Champion 2014 while runners-up Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited silver and 3rd place finisher Titas Club Chess Club bronze.
Sonali Bank Sports & Recreation Club received gold medals as the champion in the Walton Home Appliance first Division Chess League-2014 while Golden Chess Club silver as runners-up and Basir Memorial Chess Club bronze as 2nd runner-up.
Fire-Service & Civil Defense Sports Club champion received gold medals as the champion in the first Division Chess League-2013 while runners-up Sultana Kamal Smiriti Pathagar silver and 3rd place finisher Sonali Bank Sports & Recreation Club bronze.
Meanwhile, in the Board prizes of Walton Home Appliance Primer Division-2014 Bangladesh Navy Chess Team received four gold medals while Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club received three gold medals.
Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC) Shibnath Roy distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
