Chemical mixed ‘ Karamcha’ being sold in name of Cherry fruits in Narsingdi markets

Cherry an international quality and the sweetest, attractive fruit which produced in Europe exported in all over the world.
 The fruit also import in Bangladesh it is learnt. But people eat the artificial cherry which is sold between winter to summer in the country. The adulterated cherry is wade of local sour fruit karomcha, the traders sell it in the market mixing red colour with Karomcha.
 The common people cheated by purchasing the false fruit like cherry.
While conducted Abdul Karim, a fruits trader of Narsingdi bazaar said, one kind of importers in Dhaka imported the adulterated cherry from India and market these in all fruit shops in Bangladesh.
Another cherry traders Rezaul Karim of Bhelanagar assumed that the Bangladeshi traders are doing the inhuman acts.
The cheat traders selling the chemical mixed artificial cherry per kg cherry fruit at Tk 400 to 450.
But actual Cherry fruit retail market price is Tk 650 to 700 in the markets in the country. .
 Civil Surgeon of Narsingdi Dr. Rashid Ahmed said, we have no responsibility to control this activates as the district administration will see it. If the district administration seeks any doctor, I will provide that , he added. While contacted the Deputy Commissioner Obaidul Azam told this correspondent , the administration will take necessary measure in this regard immediately.
 Local people and elite urged the concern authority to take stern steps in this connection as early as possible.
