Charges will be pressed before the court next week in a case filed in connection with the gruesome attack on Sylhet college
girl Khadiza Akter Nargis by a Bangladesh Chhatra League.
Sub-Inspector Harun-or-Rashid of Shahparan Police Station in Sylhet, also the investigation officer (IO) of the case, came up with the assurance while talking to reporters after visiting Khadiza at Square Hospitals Ltd in the city on Tuesday. The investigation process is almost complete, Rashid said, adding the charge-sheet will be submitted after getting latest report from physicians on Khadiza’s condition.
Quoting Khadiza’s father Masud Miah, the SI said she gave response several times when called by her name.
He also said, Khadiza is being given pudding and liquid food. Khadiza, a 2nd year Degree student of Sylhet Govt Women’s College, was hacked by Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) unit BCL leader Badrul Alam on her way home after appearing at the examination at MC College following the refusal of his proposal for having an affair with him.
