Awami Juba League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash urged all to protect human rights so that all people could live peacefully in the city.
“Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has fought against foreign colonial powers, and we have to fight against land robbers, extortionists and bribe takers. I urge all to protect human rights for the betterment of all,” he said.
Parash made the call at a winter clothes distribution function and masks among the cold-hit victims recently at the Dania College ground at Jatrabari in the city at the initiative of Bangladesh Awami Juba League, Dhaka South City unit of AL.
Referring to the ongoing municipality elections, he said, “The differences that have arisen among the party leaders and workers over the elections should be eliminated and everyone should remain united.” Highlighting that a team is bigger than the individual and the country is bigger than the team, he said it is the basic responsibility of all to snatch the victory of the Awami League nominated ‘Boat’ candidates.
At that time, he also prayed for Awami Juba League General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil seeking early recovery as he had been recently affected with Covid-19.
With Dhaka City South Jubo League Acting President Main Uddin Rana in the chair, the programme was attended, among others, Kazi Monirul Islam Monu, MP, and journalist Subhash Singha Roy.
