Charge sheet against Barrister Shakila, 27 others

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on Sunday submitted chargesheet against 28 people, including Barrister Shakila Farzana, in a case filed in connection with arms recovery from Latmoni hill in Banshkhali upazila on February 21, last year.
Assistant director of Rab-7 ASP Ruhul Amin, also the investigation
officer of the case, submitted the chargesheet before the court of Banshkhali Senior Judicial Magistrate Hakim Sazzad.
Of the chargesheeted accused, 21 are now in jail while 41 people have been made witnesses in the case, said Rab-7 Captain Lieutenant Colonel Mifta Uddin.
Lawyer Hasanuzzaman Liton, advocate Mahfuz Chowdhury Bapon and leader of Hamza Brigade Maniruzzaman Don were among the chargesheeted accused.
On February 21, 2015, members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) unearthed a secret training camp of militant outfit Shaheed Hamza Brigade and arrested five suspected militants from Lotmoni area in Banshkhali upazila. The Rab members also recovered huge arms from the camp.
