Changes in lower judiciary

In a reshuffle in the lower judiciary, 13 District and Sessions’ judges and three Additional District judges and equivalent officials have been transferred and given new postings.
The Law Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Tuesday.
The notification said the transfers have been made in consultation with the Supreme Court.
As per the notification, Pirojpur District and Sessions’ Judge Biplab Goswami has been transferred to Chuadanga while that of Khagrachhari Mohammad Amirul Islam made Netrakona District and Sessions’ Judge. Patuakhali Women ad Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Mohammad Abdul Aziz Mondal has been sent to Sylhet Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal while Narail District and Sessions’ Judge Mohammad Abdul Matin made Thakurgaon Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge.
Khulna Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Mohammad Hasanuzzaman has been transferred to Nilphamari while Thakurgaon Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Mohammad Ismail Hossain replaced Hasanuzzaman.
Dhaka Special Judge Court-9 Special Judge Mohammad Majibur Rahman has been made Narail District and Sessions’ Judge while Dhaka Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-3 Judge SM Rezanur Rahman sent to Rajbari as District and Sessions’ Judge.
Khulna Labour Court Chairman Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain has been made Pirojpur District and Sessions’ Judge while Chittagong Customs House Law Officer Monir Ahmed Patwari Moulvibazar District ad Sessions’ Judge.
Sylhet Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Abul Kashem Mohammad Mostafa has been made member of Dhaka’s Tax Appellate Tribunal while Moulvibazar District and Sessions’ Judge Mohammad Abdur Rahsid made Dhaka’s Divisional Special Judge.
Meanwhile, Mymensingh Chief Judicial Magistrate KM Imrul Kayes has been made Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Sessions’ Judge while Rajshahi Additional District and Sessions’ Judge AKM Shahidul Islam Tangail Chief Judicial Magistrate and Bogra Chief Judicial Magistrate Jalal Uddin Ahmed has been transferred to Sirajganj.
