CEC to law enforcers Ensure overall security of voters

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda on Friday has directed the members of law enforcement agencies to ensure overall security so that the voters can cast their votes in a free, fair and festive atmosphere on the day of national election.
The CEC said this to the reporters at Nirbachan Bhaban in Dhaka’s Agargaon area on Friday just a day ahead of the 11th Parliamentary election.
“I hope that the law enforcers would help the voters to cast their votes freely

to help them return home safely,” Nurul Huda said.
He also drew attention of the law enforcement agencies to ensure the minority communities specially to cast their votes and to be watchful so that no one can intercept any voter in choosing his own candidate.
Voters will cast votes from 8am to 4pm on Sunday in more than 40,000 centers of 299 constituencies across Bangladesh.
The Chief Election Commissioner urged all the voters to come to the polling stations and cast their votes freely.
Replying to a question about the allegation of opposition parties’ attack, the CEC said, “We’re ready to prove them wrong. The voters will cast their votes in a festive environment.”
