President of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) Mahbubul Alam has been elected Vice President of the Bangladesh Federal Chamber of Commerce & Industry in the recently election of the apex body . He was elected for two years of 2015-2017 session.
Mentionable that Mahbubul Alam is the proprietor of the leading business body of the port city viz. Alam Trading Corporation . Mahbubul Alam hailed from Gohira union of Raozan Upazila was born in 1958 . He is the son of a reputed businessman Late Nurul Alam .
He obtained master degree from Chittgong university . Mahbubul Alam is also the president Khatungonj Trade & Commerce Association since long.
He was also elected vice chairman of Calcutta-based Confederation of Eastern Chambers & Commerce recently.
In his immediate reactions being elected as VP of the FBCCI to the media that he will work for the wellbeing of the business community of the port and will utmost try to resolve the problems of Chittagong Port, customs, VAT , taxes complications . He also reiterated for building business friendly environment for the business community . He is also hopeful to resolve the different problems of the port city relates to customs, port etc , sources said.
