Chittagong City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin handed over a cheque for Tk.2 lakh as donation to the wife of late Dr.Azharul Islam who expired at early age during his service in City Corporation as medical officer.
Wife of the physician Ms. Nasrin Akhter received the cheque from city mayor at CCC office on Wednesday afternoon. Relatives of the demised and a minor child were present on the occasion. City Mayor in his election pledge committed to provide donations to the families of the expired officials, sources added.
