JL leader killing in Mymensingh: Case filed against son of Minister at HC order

MymensinghA case has been filed with the Kotwali Model Police Station for the murder of Mymensingh Metropolitan Jubo League leader Sajjad Alam Sheikh Azad alias Azad Sheikh.

The police took the case on Saturday at the direction of the High Court .
In this case, 25 people including Mymensingh Metropolitan Awami League General Secretary Mohit Ur Rahman Shanto have been accused.
Azad Sheikh’s wife Dilruba Akter Dilu filed the case.
 Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mahmudul Islam confirmed the matter. He said that the police operation will be carried out to arrest the accused.
On 31 July, Mymensingh Najirbari of Akua, Metropolitan Jubo League convener committee member was murdered after the pre-conflict dispute
Sheikh Azad was shot dead, slaughtered and brutally killed by his opponent. Two days after the killing, on August 2, a complaint was filed by Mymensingh Kotwali Model Police Station against 25 people, Sheikh Azad’s wife Dilruba Akter Dilu.
Kotwali Model Thana OC Mahmudul Islam claimed that the case could not be accepted without further investigation.
At the same time, the Home Secretary, Inspector General of Police, Mymensingh Kotwali police station issued a rule to all concerned. The next day is scheduled to submit the report for execution of the order. Following the order, Mymensingh Kotwali Model Police Station recorded the case on Saturday.
