Canada extends supports to ‘Mora’ victims

Canada is providing CAD 20,000 ($ 14838) through the Emergency Disaster Assistance Fund (EDAF) for the cyclone ‘Mora’ affected people of Bangladesh.
The fund will be used to providing immediate assistance to the cyclone affected people for two months.
The operation will focus on the provision of emergency food, shelter toolkits, safe drinking water and water storage items, basic non-food items, sanitation and hygiene assistance.
The fund is being provided in support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society’s emergency appeal in response to cyclone Mora, according to Canadian High Commission in Dhaka.
The High Commission hoped Canada’s support will allow people to get back on their feet as soon as possible.
