Call to keep essentials’ price stable during Ramzan

This year the supply and stock of all those items exceedingly consumed during the month of Ramzan is almost double of the last years position. Kishoreganj District Administration arranged a meeting on supply of Ramzan items held at local collectorate conference room on Wednesday with Deputy Commissioner Md. Azimuddin Biswas in the chair. It was addressed among others by ADC (G) Tarafder Md. Akhter Jamil, Senior Magistrate Momena Akhter, Consumer Right Protected assistant Director Ibrahim Hossain, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, Women Chamber President Fathma-tuz-Zohora, Bara Bazar Marchent Association President Md. Kamrul Hasan, its Secretary General Osman Gani, CAB Secretary Monour Hossain Rony, Journalist Abdul Kadir, Agri Marketing Officer Abul Kashem and Mohila Samity District Secretary Advocate Maya Bhomik.
Sylhet Correspondent adds: Officials of Sylhet City Corporation (SCC), business leaders and other officials joined in an exchange of views meeting Wednesday to discuss issues like keeping market price for essential and food items stable, peaceful law and order situation and ensuring smooth supply of power and water during the month of Ramzan.
The meeting held at the SCC conference room, its CEO Enamul Habib chaired the meeting while SCC ward councillors Abdur Rakib Bablu and Md. Rajik Mia, SCC Secretary Mohammad Badrul Haque, executive magistrate Sharifuzzaman, Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP)’s Additional Deputy Commissioner Falguni Purkayostha, Directors of the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce & Industries (SCCI) Ziaul Haque and Md. Layes Uddin, PDB’s Assistant Engineer Ziaul Hasan, Imam Abdulla Shahjahan and Meat Traders Association President Md. Lal Mia took part in the discussion, among others.
