A mentally challenged woman has been arrested for trying to kill her 14-year-old boy in Magura’s Sreepur upazila, police said on Thursday.
Shukdev Roy, officer-in-charge of Sreepur Police Station, said Malina Begum cut her son’s throat with a knife on Wednesday morning.
The teenager was rushed to Magura Sadar Hospital. Later, he was shifted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital after his condition worsened.
“The woman has been arrested,” sub-inspector Jahangir said.
