UNB, Dhaka :In a preliminary report submitted to the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) probing the Burdwan blast case, has not mentioned anything about Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh’s (JMB) alleged plan to target Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina or BNP chief Khaleda Zia.The investigating agency has, meanwhile, identified 14 women cadres of the JMB who were training girls enrolled in two madrasahs in Burdwan (Simulia) and Murshidabad (Lalgola) districts in ‘gun shooting and other jihadi activities,’ reports the Indian express on Saturday.The agency also said, that the JMB aimed to establish an Islamic state comprising Bangladesh and the Murshidabad, Malda and Nadia districts of West Bengal.NIA officials said the “indoctrination of women cadres, especially from the impoverished sections, by the group was a worrying trend”, and that effective steps should be taken to address the issue.The NIA also said that one of the key accused, Amjad Ali, who provided explosives to the Khagragarh unit where the blast took place, had taken shelter in Delhi soon after his associates were caught.Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a money laundering case against suspected Indian operatives and the JMB to probe “terror funding” in the aftermath of the Burdwan blast in West Bengal.”The agency’s Kolkata zonal office has registered a case against Hassan Sahib and other members of JMB in the Burdwan blast case. The agency suspects terror funding and will probe this angle,” the ED said in a statement.
