A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and Grameenphone (GP) was signed in a ceremony at Bijoy Auditorium of BUP at Mirpur Cantonment in the capital on Thursday.
Michael Foley, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Grameenphone was present as the chief guest while BUP VC Major General Md Emdad-Ul-Bari, ndc, psc, te and BUP Pro-VC Prof M Abul Kashem Mozumder, PhD were present as the special guests. BUP Registrar Brigadier General Abul Kashem Md Ibrahim, ndc, afwc, psc delivered welcome speech. In the signing ceremony, BUP Registrar Brigadier General Abul Kashem Md Ibrahim, ndc, afwc, psc and Syed Tanvir Husain, Chief Human Resource Officer, GP signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.
The main purpose of the MoU is to build up bio-lateral relation in academic and research of these two organizations, create employment opportunities for the students after their graduation, arrange internship for the students and so on.
Among others, BUP high officials, teachers, students and senior officials of GP were present in the programme.
