BSF kills 2 Bangladeshis in C’nawabganj

Two Bangladeshi cattle traders were shot dead and two others were injured by India’s Border Security Force (BSF). The shootings took place near Wahedpur border at Durlabhpur union in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Selim, 28, from Babupur Nishipara village of Paka union and Sumon, 22, from Doshroshia village of Durlabhpur union.
The two injured, Lalbor, 18, and Sakib were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH), as confirmed by RMCH Deputy Director Saiful Ferdous.
According to Lalbor, a group of 11 Bangladeshi cattlemen entered India on Wednesday evening to bring cows near the Wahedpur border when members of the Chadnichawk BSF outpost opened fire on them.
The shootings left Selim and Sumon dead on the spot and two others injured, he added.
Lt Col Mahbubur Rahman, commander of BGB 53 in Chapainawabganj confirmed the news.
