Brothers Union Club toppled Arambagh KS beating them by 2-1 goals in the JB Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the MA Aziz Stadium in the port city of Chittagong on Sunday.
With the day’s victory, Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union advanced to the 5th slot in the 12-team league securing 21 points from 15 encounters while Arambagh KS went down to the 6th place with their previous total of 20 points from 15 matches.
The winners led the first half by 2-0 goals.
Nkowcha Kingsley put Brothers Union ahead in the very 3rd minute while Augustin Walson doubled the margin adding one more goal in the 25th minute (2-0).
Sajidur Rahman netted the lone goal for Arambagh KS in the 63rd minute.
In the 16th round matches, holders Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club will meet Soccer Club, Feni at 3:30 pm while Sheikh Russel KC will face Team BJMC at 6:15, both on Monday at the same venue.
