The World Breastfeeding Day was observed by the teachers and students of Applied Nutrition and Food Technology Department of Islamic University on the university campus.
The theme of the programme was Matridughdho Pane Shisu Hobe Sashthoban/ Boye Anbay Desh o Jatir Kolyan’ on the university campus on Thursday.
Around hundred of teachers and students of the department brought out a colorful rally with banners and festoons in front of the Applied Science and Technology faculty building around 11 am. The rally paraded different streets of the university.
Later, a brief discussion was held in front of the faculty building.
Lecturer of the department Sheikh Shahinur Rahman conducted the discussion while chairman of the department Dr Rezaul Karim presided over the meeting.
Professor Asad-Ud-Daula, Professor Dipok Kumar Paul, Dr ATM Mizanur Rahman, Dr Abul Kashem Taulkder, Mominul Islam, and Shammi Akhter addressed, among others.
