Readers' Forum: Of strategic calculations

The former Chinese Communist Party Chairman Mao-Tse-Tung said, “Enemy’s enemy is friend.” The thought is becoming fact once again. The governments of the USA and Iran have issued statements separately that they would cooperate with each other to stop the Sunnih Muslims’ guerilla group, the Islamic State of Iraq and Levante (ISIL)’ from capturing the capital of Baghdad.
Once it was part of Al-Qaida, a creation of the USA to thwart Soviet aggression in Afghanistan. We do not know why ISIL leaders broke away of Al-Qaida, may be for strategic reason. There is no doubt that the ISIL wants a retrogressive Islamic state and never define its economic and social policy. So does not do Al-Qaida. In truth, Islam aims at such a society where no man shall exploit another, and justice will prevail.
We think that Al-Qaida, Tehrik-e-Talibans, Laskar-e-Taiyyba, ISIL, HUJI of Bangladesh and many other like them should be reformed according to the Quran and the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (SM).
