The two-day Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Summit-2016 will begin on July 28 at Sonargaon Hotel in the city aimed at creating a fluent, self-reliant industry with sustainable jobs for at least 2,50,000 new employees by the year 2021.
“Bangladesh is organising the summit for the second time which will be given opportunity to show our ability on ICT sector before the world,” Convener of a subcommittee on seminar, workshop, publicity and publication of the summit Mustafa Jabbar told The New Nation on Tuesday.
The summit will play important role to develop further the information and technology of the country,” he added. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division is organising the summit with assistance of the Department of Information and Communication Technology and Bangladesh Association of Callcenter and Outsourcing (BACCO).
Adviser to Prime Minister of ICT Affairs Sajeeb Wazed will inaugurate the summit to highlight the road which traveled from the year 2008 by BPO Industry and Bangladesh and identify and discuss key points for the road ahead.
